Copper Creek Villas & Cabins
Boulder Ridge Villas
As part of this transition, Disney Vacation Club is pleased to announce an enhanced name for The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge that deepens the Resort’s roots in Disney storytelling.
Since welcoming its first Members home in 2000, this rustically elegant Disney Vacation Club Resort has celebrated the optimistic journey of Americans who rode the rails west to forge a new way of life. The villas draw inspiration from the quaint residential communities established by those pioneers along the tracks that enabled their mass migration.
The Resort’s new name – Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – gives that rustic community a more distinctive identity and allows Walt Disney Imagineers to bring the community’s story to life in new ways, including through the re-imagined (and soon to be renamed) Hidden Springs Pool area.
As a reminder, below is the plan for the DVC expansion:
So, am I reading this right? Copper Creek is a new DVC resort? Does this mean that those of us at the newly renamed Boulder Ridge will not have “home” rights to book at Copper Creek?
You are correct. Current VWL owners will be owners at Boulder Ridge Villas, while Copper Creek is considered a new and separate DVC.
So facilities are shared?
Yes
I see the Copper Creek cabins on the plan, but where are the villas?
They will be in the South Wing of the main Wilderness Lodge building. Hotel rooms will be replaced with villas.
This appears to be ruining my favorite bike path to the campground or am I wrong?
The paved path will remain in place from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness. The former “nature trail” that ran along Bay Lake may not be available, but it wasn’t a good bike path anyway.
